Some objects acquire their full beauty only with time. Objects age and change over time. Smooth surfaces get scratches, dents or a patina and lose some of their perfection and purity. But these traces of use do not make these objects less valuable to us - on the contrary, they make them unique and thus even more valuable. Traces of use and aging give the dead object a character and place it in a constantly changing relationship with its owner. The Organic Form Y1 project is based on this „concept of aging“.

The original sample of this object was designed and handcrafted in Hamburg, Germany just a little more than a year ago. After its completion, Organic Form Y1 was worn as a ring for exactly 365 days to record the traces of use and aging. Due to its hollow construction, it was extremely reactive to external influence. This gave origin to its unique surface. This sampler has now been duplicated in a limited edition of 11 pieces and further refined by hand. Each piece has become unique through the process and is ready to capture the traces of use of its new owner.
